Installation

Go to Edit>Preferences>Get Extensions>Install from Disk (target the directory where you have the .zip addon file).

Rigify IK / FK Switches, Follow head - Chest - stretchy limbs, facial rig: You can use them all. Use Send FBX to U5 button, RIG2U5 does the rest!


Start with Shift+A> Armature > U5 Game Rigs ; or use the N Panel Templates, Generate the rig guide (Metarig) compatible with Unreal Engine 5


You can go back to the base Metarig at any point, add new bones with rig types, merge other rigs with the game rig (like extra rigged hair, ears, tails, weapons, etc..), and re-generate the compatible game rig with Unreal Engine 5 with the "Update the U5 Rig" button. A non-destructive workflow!


Simplified weight tools, transfer body weights to a list of mesh items you choose, click "Bind" and "Switch to animate" to continue your workflow.


Use the FBX exported with RIG2U5, and create an IK-RIg in Unreal Engine. You'll get 100% accuracy for your game rig, including facial bones!


RIG2U5 rigs are fully compatible with the IK-retargeter in Unreal Engine (set up an IK rig first). You can then bake the motion capture to your own character in Unreal Engine.


The RIG2U5 generated rigs are 100% compatible with the Modular Control Rigs in Unreal Engine 5. Drag and drop components.
